We cover the entire spectrum of orthopaedics. To this end, our specialists work together with affiliated doctors on an interdisciplinary basis. In addition to our interdisciplinary focus on spinal surgery, we offer minimally invasive and complex procedures on the knee, hip, elbow, hand, shoulder and foot in the field of internal orthopaedics. Dr Markos Ioannou, Head of Orthopaedics, is also qualified to perform complex replacement operations.
Training centre for orthopaedic surgery and traumatology
In 2023, the hospital was recognised as a training centre for orthopaedic surgery and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system. This means that junior doctors can complete one year of their training as a specialist in orthopaedic surgery and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system at Zollikerberg Hospital.
