Why corporate culture is so important and how we make a difference with "kultour"

The heart of every organisation is its culture. It consists of the shared beliefs, values and behaviours that shape the daily actions and thoughts of all employees. Put simply, our culture is what we do and how we think. Culture influences every decision, behaviour and interaction within companies, associations, authorities and all other organisations.
According to experts, the culture of an organisation can change and evolve. However, we know from our own experience that this is a difficult process. Culture cannot simply be imposed or introduced. At the same time, it is a powerful success factor, as the famous quote from Peter Drucker shows: "Culture eats strategy for breakfast." This means that a strategy succeeds if it takes organisational culture into account - and conversely, that it fails if it does not include culture.
At Gesundheitswelt Zollikerberg, we attach particular importance to our working relationships. Our patients and residents not only feel the quality of our services, but also the quality of the relationships with our employees. They feel taken seriously, supported and safe. These positive feelings contribute significantly to their well-being.
Strong working relationships promote a positive corporate culture and vice versa. The Stiftung Diakoniewerk Neumünster recognised this over 20 years ago. We have a long tradition of cultural development projects. We regularly carry out initiatives that focus on our employees. These activities help us to continuously reflect on our culture and develop it further.
The "kultour" initiative is currently underway. The name says it all: our 1,600 employees at Gesundheitswelt Zollikerberg are taking part in two-day workshops to find out together what it takes to do an excellent job and maintain strong working relationships. In these workshops, employees have the opportunity to share their experiences and ideas and develop solutions together. In this way, we ensure that our Zollikerberg Healthcare Centre remains a special place in the future, where everyone feels comfortable, safe and in good hands.
Through "kultour", we not only want to strengthen our working relationships, but also raise awareness of the importance of a positive organisational culture. We are convinced that a strong culture is the key to long-term success and satisfaction - for our patients, residents and employees alike.

Nephrolithiasis: everything you need to know about kidney stones at a glance
Kidney stones are a common health problem, affecting up to 10 per cent of the population over the course of a lifetime. If kidney stones migrate into the ureter, they can cause severe colicky pain. If they do not pass spontaneously via the bladder, treatment by a urologist may be necessary. The development of kidney stones is favoured by various factors. In addition to dietary habits and insufficient fluid intake, metabolic disorders can also be the cause in some patients. If kidney stones occur repeatedly or at a young age, further clarification by a nephrologist in a specialised consultation is usually advisable. In this way, possible metabolic disorders can be recognised and treated in a targeted manner in order to reduce the risk of stones forming again.
