We have invited vocational trainees for further training

September 6, 2024

The Learning and Education Centre offers vocational trainers at Gesundheitswelt Zollikerberg various formats for further development throughout the year. In addition to the vocational training meetings, there are accompanied intervision sessions, BB Z'Mittag or BB Zvieri for an uncomplicated exchange of expertise. The Vocational Training Forum takes place once a year - this year focussing on the further development of vocational trainers.

VET professionals play a key role in vocational training. We are therefore all the more pleased with the large number of participants at this year's forum. The morning was led by an external expert who used practical inputs and methods to shed light on the various roles of vocational trainers, in particular their role as coaches.

Learning objectives of the day:

  • Vocational trainees will analyse their different roles.
  • They learn the basics of cognitive constructivism.
  • A resource- and solution-orientated coaching method is applied and reflected upon.
  • The participants develop a shared pedagogical understanding.
  • Ideas for the introduction of new vocational trainees are introduced.

Focus of content:

  • The role of vocational trainers as the key to guiding learners.
  • Development of new learning approaches for VET students.
  • Promoting self-efficacy and motivation.
  • Introduction of new VET students.
  • Empowering people: How can VET professionals be empowered?

In the afternoon, the participants worked in groups using the Flemo method (see below) to further develop their pedagogical understanding. Initial ideas for an induction concept for new VET students were developed in several rounds of discussions (Word Café). The vocational trainees used the day with great commitment and enjoyment.

The Flemo method (flexible modelling) is a creative and structured method that is used in working groups to visually represent complex educational or organisational topics. By using models and sketches, participants work together to develop solutions and concepts that allow ideas to be adapted easily and flexibly.
