We’re going podcast! – Tomorrow: Rapport
January 9, 2024
In our new podcast "Morgen:Rapport", we talk to people from inside and outside the Zollikerberg world of healthcare who are breaking new ground with passion and a spirit of innovation in order to overcome current challenges in the (Swiss) healthcare system. The podcast shows how innovative approaches can be implemented in practice. New episodes are published every two weeks on Tuesdays.
In the first episode of our podcast: Moranne Caplunik from the Zollikerberg Birth Centre talks about the special features of midwife-led births.
We look at how it all began: Moranne Caplunik, midwife at the new Zollikerberg Birth Centre, discusses the trend towards midwife-led births with us - a concept that is increasingly finding its way into traditional clinics. How does this approach differ from conventional hospital births? What advantages does it offer mothers and families? And should more women and couples consider this option in the future? Jean-Daniel Strub, ethicist at the Neumünster Institute, leads the discussion.

New podcast episode tomorrow: *Morgen:Rapport* – Psycho-oncology: Because cancer affects more than just the body
The body and mind are closely linked, as is clearly demonstrated by cancer: those affected suffer from far more than just physical symptoms. Feelings of uncertainty, anxiety and a search for meaning are common themes. Psycho-oncological support can therefore provide crucial assistance to those affected – and this can also have an impact on their treatment.

Right at the heart of it, rather than just on the sidelines. The New Morning: A Report on Participation in Healthcare
Having a say or merely having a voice? Involved or simply ‘consulted’? Hardly anyone has anything against participation – especially in the healthcare sector, where, as is well known, patients take centre stage. And yet it is often difficult to truly live up to the expectation of participation. Why is that? What approaches to genuine participation exist, and what do they entail? And which successful models from abroad could inspire Switzerland, so that patient involvement becomes the norm here too?
