KoLeg – a new approach enriches nursing training – Morgen:Rapport
March 19, 2024
New solutions for old problems: How can we get more people interested in the nursing profession and keep them in the field for longer? In the Morgen:Rapport podcast, Urs Stark provides exciting insights into the new KoLeG training concept, which is being successfully implemented at Zollikerberg Hospital.
Kathrin Schaffhuser talks to Urs Stark, Head of Education at the Internal Medicine Clinic at Zollikerberg Hospital and initiator of KoLeG. They discuss challenges and new approaches in nursing training.
KoLeG stands for cooperative learning in groups and is a response to the shortage of skilled nursing staff. This concept allows trainees to take on responsibility at an early stage, directly in contact with patients and in their professional development. It makes training more attractive and promotes personal responsibility.
Urs Stark explains how KoLeG enriches nursing training and why it can lead to nurses being more enthusiastic about pursuing their careers in the long term. The sixth episode of the podcast is entitled "Ready for everyday working life thanks to KoLeG" and sheds light on how such an innovative concept brings a breath of fresh air to nursing training.
