The operation is performed under a short general anaesthetic. During penis lengthening, the suspensory ligament of the penis (ligamentum suspensorium / fundiforme) in the pelvic area is surgically detached. To do this, the surgeon makes an incision above the penis on the pubic bone and cuts the suspensory ligament precisely. This increases the length of the penis by a few centimetres when it is flaccid. As the erectile tissue is not altered, the length remains unchanged when erect. To prevent the tissue from growing back together, surrounding fatty tissue is inserted into the affected area. As a rule, no drains are required to drain wound fluid.

After the operation, the wound may be tense and sometimes painful for a few days. A special dressing is not required. Initially, the scars are firm and slightly reddened. Swelling in the operation area can last for four to eight weeks. We recommend avoiding sexual intercourse for the first four to six weeks to optimise healing. Normal activities can usually be resumed after a few days.

Acute complications are extremely rare. However, as with any surgical procedure, there are certain risks, such as bleeding, infections or wound healing disorders. One particular risk is that the penis may become more unstable due to the severing of the retaining ligament. This can occasionally lead to problems during sexual intercourse.

Penis thickening is performed using lipofilling, a proven method in which the body's own fat is removed, specially prepared and injected in a targeted manner, resulting in a visible increase in girth - without any large incisions. The procedure is performed under a short general anaesthetic. Firstly, fat is suctioned from predetermined areas of the body using fine cannulas, leaving only minimal scarring. We then prepare the extracted fat and inject it into the penis via small, barely visible punctures. As a rule, no drainage tubes are required to drain wound fluid.

You may experience muscle aches and pains at the fat removal sites for a few days. The swelling caused by liposuction usually subsides completely within six to eight weeks. Depending on the extent of the liposuction, it may be necessary to wear compression garments.

The injected fat takes around four to eight weeks to heal completely. Swelling is particularly pronounced immediately after the procedure, which leads to a temporary increase in volume. A special bandage is not required - plaster strips are sufficient. We recommend tight-fitting underwear that provides support but does not compress too much. Boxer shorts are not suitable as they allow too much freedom of movement.

Normal everyday activities can be resumed after a few days. To ensure optimal healing, sport and sexual intercourse should be avoided for the first four to six weeks.

As with any surgical procedure, there are certain risks involved, including bleeding, infection and wound healing disorders. A specific risk of this method is that the transplanted fat does not heal completely. If the body does not form enough new blood vessels to supply it, some of the fat may be broken down. Factors such as smoking, excessive exercise in the early healing phase and malnutrition can have a negative impact on this process.

In some cases, the fat heals unevenly, which can cause slight asymmetries. However, these can be corrected by another operation. Permanent numbness is extremely rare, but can occur in individual cases.

The surgeon specifically loosens the skin fold between the penis and scrotum and repositions the tissue with a localised flap, usually in the form of a Z-plasty.
