The treatment takes about 20 minutes and involves a few injections into the penis from both sides using a very small needle. In order to optimise the distribution of the active ingredient, the blood is congested in the treated area for a short time. The method is generally well tolerated and less painful than many expect.

For the treatment of erectile dysfunction, we recommend a urological examination beforehand in order to take all medical aspects into account.

The treatment is generally well tolerated and there are no restrictions. If bruising (haematoma) occurs, it may be slightly painful for the first one or two days. Sexual function can then be resumed as normal. The effect sets in after around 14 to 21 days and lasts for 4 to 6 months. The treatment can then be repeated if necessary.

As with any injection, rare reactions can also occur when using botulinum toxin. Infections are also a very low risk, but as with facial injections, they are extremely rare. The injection itself can cause bruising, which may be slightly painful at first, but usually subsides within a few days.
