Breastfeeding is a valuable experience that can take time and support, both for mum and baby. Our experienced breastfeeding counsellors will not only guide you through this learning process during pregnancy and the postpartum period, but will also be on hand to offer you advice and support in the long term. Whether you have questions, difficulties or simply need additional support, you can rely on our expertise and our commitment to a pleasant breastfeeding period. Our services are also aimed at women who have not given birth at Zollikerberg Hospital.

The breastfeeding counselling services

Our outpatient breastfeeding counselling sessions take place from Monday to Friday between 12 noon and 4 pm.

Preparation for breastfeeding
Obtaining colostrum
Breastfeeding after breast surgery

During the postpartum period

Help with breastfeeding problems such as pain during breastfeeding, sore nipples, milk stasis, breast inflammation
Low-laser therapy (red light laser therapy) to improve wound healing and relieve pain
Too much or too little breast milk
For premature babies or twins
Breastfeeding with insufficient weight gain of the child

After the postpartum period

Partial breastfeeding / weaning
Breastfeeding and employment
Breastfeeding when the mother or child is ill
Hiring electric breast pumps
