Nephrological sonography covers a wide range of modern ultrasound examinations to clarify and monitor the course of kidney diseases and associated findings.
We carry out the following sonographic examinations depending on the issue at hand
- Abdominal sonography to assess the abdominal organs
- Renal sonography for structural assessment of the kidneys
- Residual urine sonography to determine bladder emptying
- Duplex sonography of the renal arteries to assess the renal blood flow
- Shunt duplex sonography to check dialysis shunts in patients undergoing haemodialysis
