Clinic for Neonatology
Are you ready for the exciting journey into parenthood? Our neonatology clinic invites new parents who have given birth in our department to a free weekly training programme. In our parent driving school, you will receive practical, interactive and technically sound support - based on our many years of paediatric expertise. Learn to understand your newborn's signals and react confidently to the first challenges of everyday parenting. You are welcome to bring your newborn baby and accompanying person with you.
What exactly is the Parenting School?
Since February 2020, Zollikerberg Hospital has been offering the Parenting School, devised by Dr Peter Reinhard, to proactively strengthen parenting skills through knowledge of child development. The programme specifically promotes independence and safety in everyday life with your child.
What can you expect from us?
- Insights into the world of the newborn
- Valuable advice for you as new parents
- An understanding of a newborn’s natural needs during the first few weeks and months
- Learning to understand your child’s signals and respond to them
- Information on what infants need for healthy development
- Understanding just how much normal variation there can be across different areas of development
- Sharing experiences with other parents
- The opportunity to ask experienced paediatricians questions about the first few days and weeks at home
