Preventive check-ups for children and adolescents

Regular check-ups are an essential part of preventive healthcare and development monitoring for children and adolescents. They make it possible to monitor physical, mental and emotional development at an early stage and initiate support measures if necessary. Our examinations are based on the recommendations of the Swiss Society of Paediatrics.

Our preventive medical check-ups

  • Physical examination and assessment of growth (weight, height, head circumference), development of motor skills, communication, language and play as well as socio-emotional development
  • Counselling on nutrition, breastfeeding, sleeping, crying, cleanliness, accident prevention, dental hygiene, autonomy, parenting, media use, kindergarten / school readiness, school / learning problems, bullying, smoking and/or drug use, sexual health, mental health, chronic diseases
  • Vaccinations

Age groups and examination intervals

  • Early childhood:
    • 1 week (for home birth or early discharge from the maternity centre)
    • 1 month
    • 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18 and 24 months
  • Kindergarten and school age:
    • 3, 4, 6, 10, 12 and 14 years

Please bring the following documents with you on your first visit

  • Insurance card
  • Official identification: ID or passport
  • Blood group identification card (if available)
  • Allergy passport (if available)
  • Medication (list of medication taken)
