BreastCentre Zurich
There are often no clear symptoms or signs of breast cancer for a long time. This is why a targeted examination is crucial. If you notice signs such as unusual lumps, changes in the breast structure or other abnormalities, we advise you to have a medical examination. If breast cancer is suspected, we use various procedures to precisely identify both breast cancer and a new tumour in the breast (recurrence).
These signs may indicate breast cancer
- Nodules, often painless
- Harder area in the breast
- Changes in the skin such as inflammation, redness and/or "orange peel skin"
- Shrinking and/or swelling of the skin, especially in the nipple area
- Inflammation of the nipple
- Sudden difference in size between the two breasts
- Discharge from the nipple (outside of pregnancy or breastfeeding)
- Swollen lymph nodes in the armpit, under the collarbone and/or on one side of the breastbone
- Very rare: unexplained weight loss
