Consultation hours for glomerulonephritis and vasculitis
Glomerulonephritides are inflammatory diseases of the filter units of the kidney, the so-called glomeruli. They can lead to increased excretion of protein and blood components in the urine (proteinuria and haematuria) and can impair kidney function over time - in some cases even leading to loss of function.
These diseases can either occur in isolation in the kidney or be part of a systemic disease, such as vasculitis, i.e. inflammation of the blood vessels.
Treatment is often complex and in many cases involves the use of immunosuppressive therapies. It requires specialised care and extensive clinical experience.
The nephrology team has many years of experience in the care of patients with glomerulonephritis and vasculitis. Our expertise is complemented by close collaboration with national and international specialists.
